At Violoncelland, every instrument is thoroughly inspected and professionally set up before being offered for rental. We stand behind the quality of our cellos and are committed to ensuring you have the best possible playing experience.
What's Covered
- Structural defects — Any manufacturing defects in the body, neck, or scroll of the instrument
- Setup issues — Bridge, soundpost, pegs, and endpin adjustments
- String replacement — Strings that break under normal playing conditions within the first 30 days
- Bow maintenance — Bow rehairing and basic maintenance during the rental period
What's Not Covered
- Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or accidents
- Cosmetic damage (scratches, dents) from normal handling
- Damage due to improper storage or extreme environmental conditions
- Modifications made without prior approval from Violoncelland
How to Make a Claim
If you notice any issue with your rented instrument, please contact us immediately at [email protected]. Include a description and photos of the issue. We will arrange a repair or replacement as quickly as possible.
Maintenance Tips
- Always store the cello in its case when not in use
- Keep the instrument away from direct sunlight and heat sources
- Wipe down strings and body after each playing session
- Maintain proper humidity levels (40–60%)
- Never attempt repairs yourself — contact us first
